Horse Riding a Risky Hobby --------------------------------------------------------------------Horse riding is a very very difficult hobby. It reduces belly but exposes the rider to many risks. It so happened that we were taken to a water body , afew feet long and long water body, We had to jump the pond like obstacle on horse. Seeing the water body the horses became excited and wanted to jump the pond immly. They became uncontrollable. Mean while one officer D.B.Patel , who was one step senior to me ( he was 3rd and I 4th in the selection order ) fell from the horse and the horse stood on its hind legs , front two legs in the air, Now Patel was already on the ground and did not know how to save himself from the leg which was to fall with full force. The horse' front leg landed just six inches away from the head of Patel and Patel had a miraculous escape from death. just by six inches . It happened before my eyes. ... The horses became uncontrollable when they had to run 100 metre race with full speed. They knew the game and became restive and wanted to reach the goal at the earliest just like Olympic. This was called " Charge " and fingers of both my hands started bleeding in holding the reins .
