Leaders should lead from the front

A point to think over, the pointer is sent by Madam Roopa Shah---------------
But the unlucky thing about the masses and the leaders is that ,as Rajnish said, " No leader would try to reform the masses or chance their way of thinking for the danger of losing the support of their followers. " The leaders first check up what their followers want, then articulate their policies and tune up their public stand in confirmity with that trend ! This was the reason why there has not been any change in the thinking of the Hindu or Muslim Societies as no leader would take risk of losing own leadership, they want to keep afloat on the waters . BJP first made an atmosphere for Cow, now it has become prisoner in the stomach of Cow, it cannot go further and become gobar or cannot again travel back to the mouth ! So , it will go on following its own followers.. THOSE WHO WANT BJP TO STICK TO THIS ROAD WILL ORGANISE DEMONSTRATIONS, SLOGANS, CONVENTIONS AND WHAT NOT AND COERCE BJP TO THINK THAT THEY ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACT. MEANWHILE THE MAN WILL BE FORGOTTEN AND PEOPLE WILL FORGET BJP LATER ON !
That way, as per Rajnish, the leaders are followers of their followers and those who remain in the backyard will go on being led by those who are before them ! It is leaders like Jawahar Lal Nehru, Raja Ram Mohan Rai, Ambedkar, THOMAS BABINGTON MACAULAY Rajnish, Socretis, Jesus, Muhammad Paygambar , Rajiv Gandhi, C. Subramaiam ( who led to Green Revolution ) who relenlessly tried to change thinking of men and Societies around and far away.Jesus and Muhammad are a class by themselves, who risked their lives tp propagate what they thought and succeeded and the fruits of their purusharth are visible even today , generations after they left.Macaulay will be remembered in India, Pakistan, Ceylone, Burma and Bangla Desh for his leadership in initiating English education in those countries under the British Rule.

Zinabhai Darji of Vyara, a tribute on his 10th anniverasary

A Tribute to a Strong man of Gujarat.
================================
He was outspoken and would call a spade a spade and no less ! He would draw our attention when as Police Officers , we faulted. When I resorted to a heavy lathi charge on the demostrators who resorted to violence across a river on the river bank where a function of Minister Amar Singh Chaudhari was attending. He called me and scolded me for using excessive force and also sent a message to Amar Singh Chaudhari , prob thru me, and Bhanabhai Bharati of villade Indu saying tell Amar Singh that the protesters are his voters ( and may take revenge later on ) .
He did very commendable social service among the Adivasis of South Gujarat and else where also and was held in awe by all the rulers.........
His social work among the Adivasis was so much deep and wide that once my friend Maganbhai Patel of Ena village, of Bardoli Tq and partner in Sardar Cement Company, told us " Zinabhai's work in Adivasis is is so much commendable that if he goes into the woods and shouts , if any Adivasis is not around, even the trees would respond to his call " !
. He protested against imposition of Emergency and wrote against it frequently to the PM Indira Gandhi. We knew it and suspected that Indira Gandhi would put him behind bars , but nothing of such things happened and Emergency passed.
A public Meeting was held on the outskirts of Vyara to be addressed by PM Indira Gandhi and he sat on the ground in the fffront row , Indiraji climbed on the dais and saw him sitting with folded legs, and announced from the microphone asking " Jinabhai aap yahan aaiye " and he sat along with Indira ji on the dais, only were there on the dais

When I was transferred from Vyara, he came to see me That was the greatest matter of happiness for me. I told this incident to my friend Addl Dist Magistrate Vasant Parmar of Surat Dist, and he exclaimed that " Zinabhai Darji coming to house of a Police Officer to see him on transfer is itself a matter of great credit. I lived in the same Brahmin Colony where he lived, a distance of hardly 50 feet.

He came to see me in SRP Officers' Flats in Lal Baug , Baroda where I was posted as Vice Principal Police Training School, and we dined together. Similarly, Amar Singh Chaudhari also came to see me at the same flats in Baroda.
Both of them could not do as much as they could because the bureaucracy in Gandhinagar and Delhi was highly dominated by the Brahmins and I had to suffer on account of my intimacy with Zinabhai , but I feel proud of my intimacy with him on his commitment to the amelioration of the SCs and STs and I belonged to that class.
I salute his commitment to the cause of the Scheduled castes and the Scheduled tribes..

But then those were the days .

Andhshraddha

27 May 2013

Rawalpindi ---- Anand Baxi

Had the British stayed up to 2000

A post from Munawwar Hussain
--------- Being honest and upfront were not the only qualities needed to build a successful nation, my driver is very honest man, can we make him PM?... Jinnah failed to realize that his people were not competent enough to run a country, Brits were developing the country's infrastructure, they had all the technology to build whole India much better than what we did after 1947, these leaders stopped that development and prosperity for 400 million people, which could have made lives of the masses much better, imagine if it had continued till 2000, we would have been even better than Canada or Australia

Comments
Munawwar Hussain Sir thank you for posting my comments and thoughts

Bharatbhai R Pandya Acp I agree. In British Raj communalism was absent, we could find number of Muslim and Christian Officers and Judges. The Brahmins displaced them all and fixed themselves in their posts. ...... Casteism was there as the British were dependent on the spying of the Brahmins over the Indian population, that is why they did not touch casteism of the dominant castes of the Hindus. But after the exposition of Ambedkar, they might have been forced to eliminate this notorious inhuman casteism the Hindus.................The Brahmins willingly inherited the Super Human mentality of Nazi Germany and it continues even today .......Naxalism is not all about the Adivasi lands but a revolt against the atrocious Caste System...........You are right when you say India could have been more prosperous and advanced had the British stayed up to 2000, but Gandhi and Nehru and other VarNvyavasthavadi Congress leaders wanted power at the earliest in their hands . This stretegy was adopted much earlier by them when they maltreated Jinnah in the Congress Convention in Nagpur. Pl read my posts on the incident. Author Wolpert has vividly described the incident in his book " Jinnah of Pakistan ". Congress dominated by the Princes and Casteist and communals did not want to share power with Dalits of Ambedkar or Muslims of Jinnah. They wanted to swallow the entire laddu ( sweet balls ) themselves only. The disparities in economic and social areas are due to this power hungriness of the casteist and communalist forces in India ( I think Pakistan has more or less same problem as when we see politicians exhorting people on religious lines, we feel they want to divert the attention of their people from stark realities of Economic Degradation and Social Discriminations to religion. here ram mandir is nothing but that exercise on a grand scale. And the orthodox people will never build Ram Mandir, otherwise their great mobilising mascot  will vanish ! This is the crux of the dilemma.------------------------------------------The trouble arose from the all embracing mentality of the Brahmins here and the Punjabis in Pakistan. They did not set their aims on 1. Spreading education in masses 2. They did not concentrate on increasing production  and Productivity of the labour classes 3. They did not concentrate on improving health, amenities of living , (  toilets etc ) 4. They did not set on course of improving lot of the farm labour (  They could not do this as in India  most of the rural leaders were big big Zamindars and they wanted exploitation of the dalits continued. For continued exploitation of farm labour , it was necessary to keep them away from education and keep them in perpetual abject poverty. Pakistan faced same problems there Big Zamindars like Bhutto b Family became PMs, and Generals were also absent farmers  !
